Fabric curtains are where interior design meets practical function. The right fabric controls light creates privacy and defines the mood of a room all at once. Sheer curtains soften harsh sunlight without blocking it completely while heavier fabrics add warmth and texture to windows that need full coverage. Our curtain fabric selection spans from the lightest chiffon to semi-sheer organza and structured velvet for layered looks.

Wide-width fabrics minimize seams in large window installations. Our matte organza comes in 118-inch widths which means fewer panels needed for standard windows. Lightweight tulle creates that dreamy floating curtain effect for bedrooms and nurseries. Every fabric ships by the yard with no minimum and arrives rolled to keep edges straight.

THREE CURTAIN PROJECTS FOR EVERY ROOM

1) Sheer window panels. Sheer curtains are the first layer of any well-designed window treatment. They filter light reduce glare and add a soft visual barrier without darkening the room:

a) Chiffon panels in white or ivory soften harsh afternoon light while keeping rooms bright and airy

b) Organza panels in color add a subtle tint to incoming light that coordinates with the room's palette

c) Layered sheer panels in two colors create depth a designer trick that makes inexpensive curtains look custom-made

2) Room dividers. Hanging fabric from ceiling tracks creates a soft partition between open-plan spaces. Multiple layers of lightweight fabric add visual separation without building a permanent wall. Tulle and chiffon work best because they move gently with air circulation adding life to the space.

3) Event and venue draping. Temporary curtain installations at reception venues transform plain walls into styled backdrops. Chiffon and tulle panels hung from pipe and drape systems create instant elegance that transports easily and sets up in under an hour.

MEASURING FOR CURTAINS

For standard curtains plan 2 to 2.5 times the window width in fabric for gathered fullness. A 60-inch window needs 120 to 150 inches of fabric width. For ceiling-to-floor panels measure from ceiling to floor and add 4 inches for hem allowance. Order all fabric for a single room in one batch to ensure color consistency across every panel.

All curtain fabrics ship fast worldwide. No minimum. Need help calculating yardage for your windows? Send us the measurements and we'll figure it out.
