Grace Stretch Crepe is the fabric that makes fitted garments look effortless. The crepe weave creates a slightly textured, matte surface that photographs without reflection or hotspots, while the elastane content gives just enough stretch to follow body curves without losing shape. It is heavy enough to drape cleanly, light enough to layer, and forgiving enough for intermediate sewists.

Forty-two colors at 59 inches wide. The weight is consistent across every shade, so a Black bodice will behave identically to a Burgundy skirt when you combine them in a single garment.

THREE REASONS GRACE IS A WORKHORSE FABRIC

1) Professional-looking suits and separates. Crepe is the go-to for tailored pieces that need to look polished without the stiffness of traditional suiting fabric. Grace handles darts, seams, and structured shoulders cleanly:

a) Fitted pencil skirts that hold their shape through a full workday without bagging at the knees

b) Tailored blazers with clean lapels and structured shoulders that still move with the body

c) Wide-leg trousers with a clean drape that does not cling or wrinkle

Pair with matching thread for invisible seams — the matte surface hides stitching beautifully when the thread color matches.

2) Evening dresses that travel well. Crepe resists wrinkles better than almost any other dress fabric. A Grace Stretch Crepe gown packs into a garment bag, arrives at the venue looking sharp, and stays crisp through hours of wear. The stretch means no hidden side zippers needed for fitted styles.

3) Bridesmaid coordination. With 42 colors, you can pull exact matches across different dress styles. The consistent weight means a floor-length bridesmaid gown in Grace hangs identically to a knee-length cocktail version in the same color.

SEWING WITH STRETCH CREPE

Crepe is forgiving to sew. It does not slip on the cutting table, does not fray excessively, and holds press marks well. Cut on a single layer for precision. A universal 80/12 needle works for most applications. For heavier-weight projects, step up to 90/14.

Use a standard straight stitch with 2.5mm length for most seams. A narrow zigzag on stretch seams prevents thread breakage when the garment moves. Press with medium heat and always test on a scrap first — crepe can scorch if the iron runs too hot.

COLORS AND ORDERING

The range includes Black, Blackberry, Blackcherry, Navy, Dusty Rose, Sage, and dozens more. Darker shades show the crepe texture particularly well, while lighter shades like Ivory and Powder Blue photograph softly.
