Printed fabric is where the designer meets the printer. The difference between a good print and a great one lies in color accuracy pattern alignment and the fiber compatibility with the printing process. Our printed fabrics are produced using techniques that deliver sharp pattern registration consistent color across production runs and prints that bond at the fiber level so they survive washing fading and UV exposure better than surface printed alternatives.
The printed collection spans floral patterns on organza abstract designs on chiffon and geometric prints on tulle. Each pattern is designed to work across a 59 inch width so you can plan your cut lines to place pattern elements exactly where you want them on the finished garment. Printed fabric works for any project where visual interest matters more than texture because the pattern does the talking while the fabric base provides the drape. Layer printed chiffon over white tone solid fabrics for overlay panels where the print becomes the focal point against a clean background.
THREE WAYS PRINTED FABRIC STANDS OUT
1) Signature garments and one of a kind pieces. A printed fabric tells a visual story that solid colors cannot. Whether it is a romantic rose pattern on organza or a bold geometric on tulle the printed design becomes the conversation starter. Printed fabric makes a garment unique without requiring custom embellishment work:
a) Floral printed organza overlays for bridal gowns where the print creates a garden effect walking down the aisle
b) Abstract printed chiffon for art gallery openings and creative events where the dress itself reads as wearable art
c) Geometric printed tulle for modern evening wear that photographs as intentionally designed rather than store bought
2) Event styling and home decor. Printed fabric creates themed atmosphere without any additional decoration. A floral printed table runner or chair back in a spring palette sets the entire mood for a wedding or shower. The print communicates a theme instantly which saves time and budget on additional styling elements. Printed fabric panels draped as backdrops create photo opportunities that guests seek out all evening.
3) Mixed media layering. Printed fabrics create entirely different looks when layered over different base colors. The same printed chiffon over white reads as soft and romantic over black it reads as bold and dramatic. This versatility means one printed fabric can serve multiple design purposes depending on the underlayer. Our ivory shade fabrics work as warm underlayers that enhance the golden tones in printed floral patterns. Pair with satin for a smooth reflective base that intensifies the printed surface.
WORKING WITH PRINTED FABRIC
Cut printed fabric on a single layer with the print facing up so you can see exactly where pattern elements fall on each piece. Pin generously to prevent shifting that would misalign pattern pieces. For garments with matching front and back panels use the same cut position on both layers to ensure the pattern reads consistently. Use a 70/10 needle with polyester thread in a color that matches the dominant shade in the print.
