Sequin Mesh "Glitz"

Glitz is sequin mesh that actually feels premium. The sequins are attached to a flexible mesh base using a flat-stitch method, which means they lay smooth against the fabric instead of sticking out at awkward angles. Run your hand across the surface and the sequins move with the mesh, not against it. That is the difference between fabric that photographs well and fabric that photographs flat.

Thirty-three color options at 59 inches wide. The sequin coverage is consistent from edge to edge, so every cut piece delivers the same sparkle density regardless of where your pattern falls on the fabric.

WHERE GLITZ MAKES THE BIGGEST IMPACT

1) Competition dance costumes. Judges read costumes from distance, and sequins are the fastest way to catch their eye. Glitz sequins catch stage lighting from every angle, which means the costume reads as dynamic even when the dancer is standing still:

a) Bodice panels where sequin coverage creates the focal point of the entire design

b) Skirt overlays that add sparkle without the weight of full sequin coverage

c) Sleeve and back panels that catch light during choreography and movement

Combine with power mesh lining for structured support underneath a lightweight sequin exterior.

2) Evening gown accents. Full sequin gowns are bold. Strategic sequin panels on a satin or chiffon base are sophisticated. Use Glitz as accent panels on shoulders, waistlines, or hem borders to elevate an otherwise simple design.

3) Statement accessories. Clutch covers, decorative sashes, and hair pieces all benefit from the way sequin mesh catches light in close-up photography. A small amount of Glitz goes a long way.

WORKING WITH SEQUIN MESH

Cut with sharp fabric scissors only — rotary blades will dull instantly against the sequin edges. Cut on a single layer with the sequin side facing up. Pin only inside the seam allowance to avoid visible holes.

Remove sequins from the seam allowance before sewing. A few seconds with small scissors snipping away the sequins along the seam line prevents needle damage and keeps your machine running smoothly. Use a denim needle (90/14) and polyester thread for clean, strong stitches.
